Day at the Beach!

We spent a day at a friends beach house to celebrate their birthday. What fun... Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Well it has been several months since I have blogged! Braden got his first second and third tooth... He took his first steps and now is practically running... He had his first birthday complete with chocolate cake... We moved across the country to California. He is a beach baby now. He loves the water even though it is way too cold for Mom and Dad.

Easter

Brian and I both love this face... I was trying to capture him crawling through the legs of furniture you see in the background of the above picture but he was too fast and made this precious face by the time the picture took! The picture above and below are both from today Braden's 9 month birthday. Our precious son keeps getting cuter and cuter.

These next pictures are from Easter Sunday. He was sick but still cute as ever. He loves to run around the house in his walker. He can turn corners quick and even get around in tight spaces.

You can see how mature he is in our easter pictures. He just keeps getting more and more handsome.

This is the coolest big block that mom borrowed for two weeks from the library... I can do so many things with it, read, reach for stuff and just play, I can even look at myself since there is a mirror on it.
These pictures were taken this morning... Lazy Saturday mornings are the best!

Family Portrait... Aren't we cute? Brian and I had a date night and Braden got left with one of his girlfriends for his own date night he had fun even though her husband was there as well! =)
Braden realized that stairs are super fun! =)

This next picture was Braden in the big high chair out to eat... such a big boy now!
This last pictures was us with two friends and their boys born the same time as Braden. We went to the Capitol for a free Biscuit Brothers concert. It was super fun the boys were into the music and people. It was a fun outing. I just love hanging out with these friends... so does Braden.=)

I am now pulling up to standing all by myself... I am such a big boy. I can reach so many things now. Here are some pictures from a day that we were hanging out with our friends the Smiths at the Wildflower center... More picture to come with the actual flowers! =)

So cool... I get to play with my toy box!
Sitting up on my own from crawling.
Look Mom no hands... on the floor at least. He got brave on day 2 of crawling.
Crawling is so much fun... This is one of my silly happy faces.
Look at me go. I used to do an inchworm move, but last week in church I saw a pretty 9 month old crawling and I looked at her and got on all fours and never looked back. Nothing like motivation from pretty girls already. We are in for it when he gets older.

Handsome Little Man

I am totally biased but he is still a very handsome little man... He just looks so grown up in his tux! Today he started crawling. Well moving around at least. It is more like inching... He pulls up on all fours and lunges forward to laying down and repeats the process until he gets where he wants to be. He can make it across a room! We better start baby proofing...

Sleeping like a baby... I had to pry the toys from his grip and replace with his lovie so he would take a real nap... So cute!
I went to the doctor because I was sick. I am now 18 pounds 11 ounces. Wow, don't know how my mom still carries me around. I am one big boy. =)

This is me enjoying church with my mommy... I have learned that if I cry in the nursery my mommy gets called and I get to hang out in the sling... it makes me so sleepy. I was exhausted after greeting everyone at first sunday lunch. =)

I will be crawling before you know it. Here is my new trick. I can pull up on all fours then I get tired and collapse... being a baby is exhausting! =)

Apple Juice makes me write on myself!

So today Braden had a morning serving of rice cereal with apple juice added to in instead of milk... at first he made a sour face then came to like it by the end of the bowl. I tasted it... the stuff that is not from concentrate and no sugar added is not very sweet!Okay so I am totally a bad mommy... When I was checking something on the computer this morning I was holding braden because he wanted to hug and just hang out or so I thought... He was being so quiet! I learned that is not good, he found a pen on the desk behind him and picked up and was writing on his face and later I found all over mine as well... you would think I would have felt it but it felt like he was touching my face with wet fingers! When I finally figured it out the pen was of course in his mouth... Bad Mommy!

So many presents... so little time! =) I actually got to eat some of the wrapping paper while mom wasn't looking.

I actually met the real Santa Claus... He was hanging out in Southlake Town center while I was visiting my grandparents... they introduced me to him and I posed for pictures with the big man in red. Are all of those gifts for me?

Braden's Dedication to the Lord!

On the 30th of November we dedicated Braden to the Lord in Church. He went up on Stage with us and other families and Pastor Matt prayed for him. What a special day. Memaw and Pops and Aunt Molly came to celebrate with us as well as all of our church family... Thank you for sharing this very special day with us.

rolling, rolling, rolling!!!

Braden started rolling about a month ago... He is a pro now! This was pictures of the first time he rolled from back to front, we were at small group so we got to see the whole thing. Earlier that week he rolled front to back the first time but that is more like falling over... really no technique. When we put him down to play he is in an entire different direction now. Crawling here we come... Mom's not ready for that!
